Philippine Independence Parade-NYC

iReport —

With Summer fast approaching, in NYC almost every weekend there is a parade happening. As it happened this weekend there were two. The Israeli on 5th Ave and this one on Madison Ave.

The Philippine parade was lead by Grand Marshall Mr and Mrs Libramonte with guest Philippine's Vice President and Ambassador to the US.

The parade started on Madison Ave and 38th St. and ended with  a street fair and cultural show which featured the talent of the dance group Dinagyang of Iloilo as well as several bands, singers young and old. The crowd started to sing along with the Philippine's grand dame of Pinoy Jazz  Ms. Annie Brazil who is 78 years old and still performs in NYC.
